Socium’s inaugural high-rise residential project is a 28-story, 577,898-square-foot tower that includes 350 units, an underground parking garage, two ground-floor retail spaces, and extensive resident amenities. This striking, stair-stepped design stands out as a distinctive feature of the Midtown Atlanta skyline.

Socium Coatings provided painting and floor striping services for the new Atlanta Public Schools Northwest Transportation Center, a state-of-the-art facility designed to improve the district’s transportation operations and support thousands of students across the city.
The 10.4-acre site features parking for more than 200 buses and 210 cars, an Operations Building, and a Maintenance Building with a four-bay service center, fueling stations, and secure perimeter fencing. Within this critical infrastructure, Socium’s scope of work included 9,400 SF in the Maintenance Building and 6,400 SF in the Operations Building, delivering durable coatings and precise striping essential for high-traffic, mission-critical spaces.

Within this critical infrastructure, Socium’s scope of work included 9,400 SF in the Maintenance Building and 6,400 SF in the Operations Building, delivering durable coatings and precise striping essential for high-traffic, mission-critical spaces.
This project was not without its challenges. With multiple trades working simultaneously, our painters frequently had to repair and protect finished areas that were damaged during construction. Through persistence, attention to detail, and commitment to quality, the Socium team ensured a consistent, high-standard finish throughout both buildings.
The APS Northwest Transportation Center is more than a facility—it’s an investment in safe, reliable student transportation. Socium is proud to have contributed to a project that strengthens community infrastructure and supports the future of Atlanta’s students.
