Socium Coatings provided painting and sealed concrete services for the ATL South Deck at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest airport. The project encompassed a large parking structure with approximately 6,000 parking spaces, extensive CMU walls, and more than 6,000 bollards, requiring careful planning and coordination to deliver consistent, durable finishes throughout the facility.
The client’s primary objectives were to improve the appearance and long-term durability of the parking deck. Our team worked closely with the project partners to maintain progress, coordinating activities around area availability and participating in regular trade partner meetings to ensure alignment with project goals and schedule requirements.
Weather conditions presented the most significant challenge throughout the project. Temperature and humidity fluctuations required careful monitoring to ensure coatings were applied within manufacturer tolerances and achieved the intended performance. Through proactive planning and disciplined execution, our team maintained quality standards while keeping the project on track.
The completed project delivered a refreshed appearance and enhanced protection for one of the airport’s key parking facilities.
