Socium Coatings provided comprehensive finishing services for Building 2, a 33,431 SF new construction project at the Atlanta West Pentecostal Church. Partnering with Pellicano Construction, our team delivered a wide-ranging scope that supported both the functionality and visual quality of the space.

Interior work included painting gypsum board walls, ceilings, and soffits, as well as exposed ceilings, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, railings, and hollow metal doors and frames. Socium also furnished and installed wallcovering throughout the building. Exterior work was limited but impactful, consisting of canopy steel at the main entrance and pressure washing of exterior sidewalks, curbs, and the building’s brick to ensure a clean, finished presentation.

The project presented challenges such as long material lead times and a strict construction schedule. Through proactive coordination, clear communication, and close collaboration with the general contractor, the team stayed on track and met project expectations. Coordination across submittals, vendor lead times, and field execution was critical to maintaining momentum.

Field leadership was instrumental to the project’s success. As noted by one of our great Project Managers, “Our Superintendent did an excellent job leading field execution and navigating day-to-day site logistics with the GC.” Socium also recognizes wallcovering partners Momentum and Wolf Gordon for supplying materials under tight timelines while maintaining consistent communication.

This project reflects Socium Coatings’ core value of Character. Faced with logistical and scheduling challenges, the team maintained a solution-first mindset, adapted quickly, and upheld a high standard of quality—delivering a successful outcome through collaboration and commitment.
