Socium’s inaugural high-rise residential project is a 28-story, 577,898-square-foot tower that includes 350 units, an underground parking garage, two ground-floor retail spaces, and extensive resident amenities. This striking, stair-stepped design stands out as a distinctive feature of the Midtown Atlanta skyline.

Socium Coatings completed a comprehensive exterior repaint and restoration project for the Southwest Airlines Cargo Building, revitalizing a high-traffic facility operating around the clock. The project focused on improving the appearance, durability, and functionality of the building while minimizing disruption to ongoing cargo operations.
Our scope included painting the concrete façade, ceilings, walls, columns, conduit at walkway ceilings, loading dock striping and angle iron, concrete curbs, hollow metal doors and frames, overhead doors and frames, railings, bollards, and signage frames. Additional services included electrostatic painting of aluminum storefront window mullions, pressure washing of concrete walkways, steps, and loading dock floors, as well as restriping the parking lots.
One of the primary challenges was coordinating work around an active cargo facility with 24-hour logistics operations. Through careful planning, communication, and phased execution, our team safely completed the work while maintaining uninterrupted facility operations.
Prior to the project, the building’s exterior finishes were heavily faded and weathered. The completed repaint provided a much-needed cosmetic transformation, significantly enhancing the facility’s appearance and exceeding the client’s expectations. The result is a refreshed, professional-looking cargo hub that better reflects the quality and reputation of the Southwest Airlines brand.
